What you eat plays a critical role in helping you lose weight but discovering why and changing how you eat is also important.
Many people mindlessly turn to food to deal with uncomfortable feelings like sadness and fear. Others eat in an “auto-pilot” way to fill up a sense of loneliness and emptiness. With unconscious or emotional eating, food is used to fill a heart hunger rather than a nutritional need.
Scientists in the fast-growing field of mindfulness research are discovering that simply changing how we eat might be a key to weight loss.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
During this workshop, naturopath, nutritionist and mindful eating teacher Tiffany Wee from Mind Body Shine will highlight the mental-emotional link to weight management and she will also share mindful eating practices to help re-establish a joyful healthy relationship with food.
