3 NOV 2019 | 10AM - 2PM | 20PAX
Mindfulness can deepen through the exploration of your relationship with eating and food. It provides an opportunity to help you see clearer at your personal connection with your mind, body and soul. By bringing awareness through to your senses, you can become more mindful of how, when, where, what and why you EAT.
What is MINDFUL EATING?
Fundamentally, mindful eating involves eating slowly without distraction and understanding the real sensation of satisfying your hunger. You could satisfy your hunger not only through eating, it could also be through engaging the senses associated with colors, smells, sounds, textures and even flavors. These are important to maintain overall good health and well-being, noticing the effects food has on your feelings and your body.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
- You will explore the joys and sorrows held in eating and food, the disconnects and communions and the aversions and desires - all of which can be opportunities that facilitate moving towards a healthier relationship with food, emotions and your physical body.
- To help you tune to your senses as a way of discovering how to be present with the Nine Kinds of Hungers.
